Wow...not one journal or art work from the people I watch commemorating 9/11. Granted, I know it's been a long time. Five years? My God it still seems like yesterday. I guess a lot of people want to forget, though. It's a horrible, terrible thing that happened to our country and it makes it easier for us to want to forget...to leave it for the histr'y books. I'm not going to make this into a big rant about how we should all cut ourselves and cry for the people that died in the twin towers five years ago, but I will pose this question, where were you when you found out about the terrorist attacks?

I remember vividly sitting in class, an aid rushing into the room and whispering something urgently into the teacher's ear and then hurrying off to inform the next room. My teacher practically fell over herself as she grabbed the remote and turned on CNN. We watched the plane fly into the second tower. I was too shocked for words.

When freedom tolls within the night
And red rockets crash while the world's in fright,
Who then will stand and ring the bell
For the victims gone to Heaven and Hell?
